Coverage from the Swedish ESWC Counterstrike 1.6 Pre-Qualifier

On Saturday 19th May the first Swedish ESWC Pre-Qualifier will take place from the Inferno Online internet café in Stockholm, Sweden.

Eight teams in total will get the chance to attend the main qualifier which is taking place from the 17th – 19th of June at DreamHack.
This Pre-Qualifier is one of the four options with the other 3 being held later this month or in June.

This pre-qualifier will give the chance for the top two placed teams to qualify for DreamHack, where they have the opportunity to represent their country at this years ESWC. Below you can find the seedings released by the ESWC Sweden organisers:

02: Begrip (JAEGARN, threat, get, GeT_Right, niko)
03: EvilZone (kylie, hibb, Nippo, Like, kvicken)
04: Starhit (RoBiN, Goobay, eLkz0r, olexz, blandarn)
05: Silvereye (rdl, floreNz, pb, KRYPLR, FYRR73)
06: da4ce (xeron, igis, Jumpy, freddan, hedemark)
07: Escape Gaming (Rogga, xpo, Gabbe, chaaya, andman)
08: Club Rotation 64 ( thyffE, twentytwo, xavve, k59, steem)

SK will continue to use their stand-in striker until they announce that they have found their final player for their roster to fill in Snajdan’s spot. While Begrip use two of their newest additions for this event, so we can expect some great matches from these new additions to the teams. The qualifier is set to start at 09:00 AM with SK vs Escape & EvilZone vs Silvereye on de_inferno. HLTV will be available for all of the matches from HLTV.org. Update: SK will now use the Swedish player; Red instead of their past stand-in striker for this event. As of yet, no reason for this has been given.
