Introduction of the Equiped Special Worklog Contest

Equiped his contest of the year has just been launched! Any language, case, forum, age can enter....really everybody - modders as well as readers - can enter. What is it all about? Well, weve seen a lot of of worklogs before, you probably have as well. Dont you think its time for a Worklog Contest? Hell yeah!

Please keep in mind this contest is still not 100% ready, the contest will be starting at the 1st of February. More details, information and our media-kit will be released later this month. Once you mailed your worklog to worklog @ equiped-gaming . com, and we will accept your application, you will receive a package with a participant letter, stickers and some goodies by post.

Hmmm... but what is a Worklog Contest? And why not a modding contest?
Well there is a difference between those two... A worklog is more than just modding.... The best modder doesnt necessarily have the best worklog... No no no! Its not only the modding that make a worklog fun, interesting and helpful... Its mostly user interaction between the modder & readers and readers & readers. Equiped & Akasa are looking for great worklogs on the internet; one of them is gonna walk home with the grand prize and some others with some 2nd and 3rd prizes! Do you think you have the x factor we are looking for? Do you have the modding skills and do you enjoy interacting with the readers?

Readers can win too! Without readers there are no worklogs. Support your favorite mods / modders and you have a shot at winning as well!

Our head sponsor Akasa will be the main partner of this project and will divide all the prices together with Equiped.

FAQ / Details

Equiped & Akasa Special Worklog Compo Contest Rules:

- All forums are accepted, even if its a forum you are hosting on your own site. It must give reader the ability to interact with your worklog.

- All internet residents are eligible. This is an international contest - so there is no restriction on where you live. The preference is that you live in the internet

- Forum owners & crew may enter too

- Customs, pro-mods, premods, "my first mod"... all mods may enter as long as it has a worklog.

- No age limit

- Worklogs may be written in EVERY language. As long as we can google it :-P.

- Multiple worklogs per project may enter. Its common practice that a project is posted on several forums. Each worklog will be judged separately. As a rule of thumb, do not "overpost" your project in 30 forums. 3 to 5 seems to be the common thing.

- Running logs and new logs may enter. Completed logs are not allowed to enter. Re-opening or bumping your completed worklog is not going to make your worklog enter the contest.

- Using Akasa parts is NOT a judging criteria of this contest. We may send a surprise gift randomly to those who do though ;)

Judging will be based on:

- The work (Technical appearance, x factor, originality etc..)

- The log (Interaction between: Modder and readers, reader and readers, fun-ness, user interest and activeness)

What can I (reader) win?

The moment you read a worklog, you are already participating in the worklog. Worklogs need the readers as much as the modder. So the Special Worklog Contest is acknowledging the role of the reader too.

- Look out for worklogs with the slogan in their sigs "I am a Equiped Special Worklog Contestant and so are you..."

- Post constructive comments and you might win.

- Dozens of various prizes are given away to modders & readers with total randomness …. Anything that draws our attention can make you win! Funny quotes, nice conversations, intelligent remarks...you name it! Note: “I LOVE Akasa or Equiped” does not make you a direct winner :P.

When is the deadline?

1 May 2008. Grand prize winner will be announced within 1 week.
The earlier you start, the better its is. You will have time to show the world your worklog and build an audience.

Where is the contest?

It’s out there in the community. Here at Equiped-Gaming.com contest area, you will find the list of contestants, some pics, tools for taking part in the contest… the worklogs are out there in the various community. Here’s a couple of forums that are pretty active with worklogs.
